Everyone and their grandmas noticed how awkward Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were at the very entertaining trailer launch of Udta Punjab. While Alia Bhatt played buffer between the exes, the media didn’t stop grilling them about doing a movie together and if there will be a sequel to their 2007 hit Jab We Met. By this time, Kareena was at her snarky best and she said the DVD is always available and Shahid changed the topic by revealing that he’s going to become a father. In Udta Punjab too, the Shahid and Kareena don’t have any scenes together and while that may look like it was done on purpose so that they don’t run into each other, Kareena thinks otherwise. Though we are in the same film, we didn’t shoot together. Of course, I would love to work with Shahid also. I think it’s an outdated concept that people who have dated each other can’t work together. We are all actors and professional people. Why should our emotions come in the way of our work?
